I tried to publish the default joomla Similiar Tag module in the page http://*****irect.co.uk/products/dosing-pump/hy-metering-pump-series/hy-bl-metering-pump.html and it also returned no item. Can you check it?

It looks like we're getting the same result - it's pulling in the module title tag but nothing else.

Are you sure the articles having similar tags?
The Related Item Extended module is developed based on the Similiar Tag module, so if similiar tag module doesn't work it is likely the related item extended module won't work too
