Multi-lang site with Latest News +
- Posted by Shawn Chiu (6) Offline
Hi there,
I am working on a multi-lang site. I created some articles, with different lang setting, in the same category *News*.
When I added a new module and assign this module to different pages, I found that Latest News + didn't filter articles according to the page language. It just display them all.
Can this be possible to filter article in different languages?
Thanks.

Can you try to create a latest articles module using default joomla articles module and check whether it works that way or not?

No. default joomla latest news does not filter language, either. This is disappointing.

The latest news + is developed based on the default joomla latest news, so it will inherit the functions.
Anyway maybe you can tweak from the article categories side instead. Create category for each language.
For example, if you use two languages, let say english and french, then you will have two category : News and Nouvelles.
This approach will let you manage the module presence (on probably other things on joomla) based on language setting easier.
That what I usually do when creating a multi language website
