How to add a module into Module in Modal

You don't need to click on that Select button.

Just type any of word you want on that field then click Save button on the top of page. That will make a new custom module position, without affecting module position that your template have.
Sorry to make it confuse you, but we use standard joomla module position picker's field to display list of available module positions, but that field also allows you to add a new one without affecting your built in template's module position.
Programatically, indeed it's possible to directly choose the module directly instead of using module position, but we have tried it, and we decide it's better to use module position because chosing the module directly potentially creates new other issues such as it will ignore the module parameters etc

I have a question
Is it possible to assign the Modal button into an existing custom module without having the Modal button assigned to a template position.
please take a look at my dev site right side the Modal Button is assign to right and I was able to place the Modal button into an existing module and it works but If I remove the Modal Button assign position Right save and refresh browser the Modal button inside the custom module disappears too?
