Mini Frontpage Pro: image thumbnail, youtube video, soundclouond displayed (pre-sale)

HI,
I tested the free module. There is no image thumbnail, youtube video, soundclouond displayed. If I buy the pro version, could you integrate the custom fields ACF (video, soundcloud), Econa (image) ?

Hi,

There is no image thumbnail

how did you add the image to the article?

youtube video

youtube video is supported in some themes in Minifrontpage pro only

soundclouond

soundcloud is not supported

could you integrate the custom fields ACF (video, soundcloud), Econa (image)

custom field will be supported in the upcoming minifrontpage pro update, but it will be displayed as a custom field item, not as movie / image background.

Hi,
I don't see the impact "not as movie / image background" but probably it's standard.
Great if you integrate this soon :)
I only use the custom fields and not the integration in the article.
The image is also a custom field Econa www.firecoders.com/joomla-extensions/econa.
If you want I can provide the plugin for integration.

It is possible to use the ACF custom field as the source of the youtube or using econa image as the thumbnail, but not every joomla users use acf or econa, even custom field. I believe adding this to minifrontpage as configurable feature will add more complexity to the module paramater page that potentially making it less simple / not easy for beginner. For advanced user, i believe it's better to use template override for that purpose.

The image is also a custom field Econa www.firecoders.com/joomla-extensions/econa.

That's why the module didn't generate the thumbnail because the module will try to find the intro image first, if no image found then it will try to find the full image, if no image found too then it will try to find first image inserted in the intro text. If still no image found then the module will generate thumbnail from the default image. It will not try to find image in the custom field

Hi
All modern frameworks (astroid, Helix, T4) that I use show custom fields in the blog or article.
There is almost no module that does this !?

It is however very useful, precisely if we are not an advanced user who makes overrides!
More and more developers are integrating custom fields because this becomes an important point for Joomla.
I hope you will not change your mind and that you will integrate these custom fields well in the next version!

I think you misundertood me.
As I said above, the custom field will be supported in the next update but will be displayed as a custom field item.
Maybe this image below can help you to understand, it's the minifrontpage pro for K2 that is already support K2 custom field.

And what I meant when I said It is possible to use the ACF custom field as the source ... is: if you use ACF to add the youtube url, it will display as it is, in the custom field box, the module will not try to find / to use the youtube url in the custom field as the item movie background. So does econa. The thumbnail will not generated from image that is defined in the custom field but it will be displayed in the custom field like this :
