Mini Front Page PRO Cache Image
- Posted by TemplatePlazza (5261) Offline
Sounds like a cache related to me. How did you delete the image? Did you use FTP or delete it from the media manager?Yes, I deleted all the images in the folder, and opened the site in an anonymous tab in the browser, and cleared the entire cache, but it always generates the old image that doesn't even exist anymore. What could be happening? Any other conflict plugin?
Anyway, can you share temporary access to your website so I can have a look on it directly? If you can, you can share it in the Your Site Details tab below. Only you and support staffs who are able to see it.

Hi, I experience the same problem: changing the image in an article doesn't regenerate the thumbnail. I use the image introtext on the tab images and links. Besides that, I don't want to clear the thumbnails everytime an image changes, that's not user friendly. Even though, I need a hard refresh in the browser after clearing the folder before I see the changes reflected on the website.
And my webmaster is an old, little bit weird guy who's not willing to do this everytime .
ps: if you need access, let me know.

You wouldn't edit article's image that often right? Thumbnail is saved to the cache folder in purpose to reduce server load because generating thumbnail on the fly will increase server load.Besides that, I don't want to clear the thumbnails everytime an image changes, that's not user friendly. Even though, I need a hard refresh in the browser after clearing the folder before I see the changes reflected on the website.

Hi, I deleted it via the media manager (in my case: JCE Pro).
Yeah, I understand your consideration about server load. And no, it doesn't happen very much. But when a change is committed to a specific article (changed the image used in minifrontpagepro), at that point I'd like the thumbnail used in minifrontpagepro to be regenerated. That way, it's just on the backend site when saving an article and not every time someone loads the website.
Maybe you could hook up the event when an article changes, and at that point regenerate the thumbnail?
