1. how can I resize the displayed article text?
2. the Custom Default Thumbnail is NOT displayed here...

My question about #2 is solved - I deleted the thumbnails manually....

You can add this code to CSS Adjustment tab :
.mfp_default_skin_card .mfp_default_item .mfp_introtext {
  font-size:40px;
   line-height:40px;
}
