No thumbnails in MiniFrontpage

The problem with the Random Image was a lazy load feature though, turning this off has not fixed the module images.

I see. But none of those disabled functions are needed for Joomla neither Minifrontpage I think

Thanks for all your help. The text slider looks good, but would be a lot better for us with the related intro thumbnail image.

You can try Minifrontpage Pro and then email me temporary access to your administrator page so I can check it directly from your website.
