webp image don't resize

Hi, webp images are indeed not further processed (cropped, etc.), so they are simply copied into the thumbnail folder. This is because Joomla itself does not yet support webp image processing (we are using Joomla's built-in functions for image processing and not external libraries) and webp file sizes are usually relatively small. Do you have any specific concerns regarding resizing the webp images?

This is a bit problematic. Besides, I always try to avoid using non-standard methods other than those supported by Joomla (to reduce maintenance and security risks). WebP image processing requires an additional library in the GD library extension, which is not always installed on all web servers. That's why I choose to simply copy the WebP files, as the safest option.
However, I will try to find a better solution for this.
