MiniFrontpage: No correct customized thumbnails for articles with no images.

Hello,
For an article without an image (J4/5, PHP 8+) the default customized image is not found in MiniFrontpage 4.0.1 (Free)
This can be corrected in MinifrontpageHelper.php bij commenting out line 213

if($orig_image == ""){
$size_multiplier = 3; // to generate retina quality of thumbnail
//pch 3-1-'25 next line commented, because else not default image is generated.
//                $custom_default_thumb = strstr($custom_default_thumb, '#', true);
// Added JCE PRO support

This solution did not help. Thumbnails are still not displayed. What should I do?

I am experiencing unexpected behaviour with MiniFrontpage Pro as well with my website (homepage): haggardearth.com/
I have two instances of the module on the homepage, and the second (Crucial Climate issues) is not displaying the assigned image (despite clearing the relevant media folder).

Suggestions?
