You just need to delete the override file, and everything will work fine. Version 4.0.0 is a unified version (compatible with Joomla 3, 4, and 5), but a change in the template file causes an error because you have a template override, which makes you run the template file for version 3.0.3 on version 4.0.0. However, if you want to downgrade it to 3.0.3 to test it locally, here is the file :

Thank you very much for the help. My day is saved.
I deleted the override which I didn't dare do. Then Latest News turned on again. Everything works again. I've now switched to 4.0.1, everything is fine
