Mini FrontPage show number of comments

Hello,
first of all congrtulations on a wonderful module!
Is there any way to show a number of comments in the listing of news in the Mini Frontpage news module?

Thanks for using our module
We're sorry, there is no parameter for displaying comments at the moment.
But thanks for the idea, we'll consider it :)
