Page Peel - no showing banner advert
- Posted by Bradley Stemp (5) Offline
Hi - Ive installed page peel at www.behealthy4life.com.au/ and created a banner advert
ive tested the banner advert and associated it. To test I created a Banner module and associated the same category - this is on the bottom right of the page.
When I unpeel - I cant see the banner advert - however if I click on the space I am taken to the linked web page
Thank you

				Hello
Thats weird - my PC at home (Chrome, Firefox), my mobile (Firefox) and PC at work (Chrome) all show the peel as per the attached picture i.e. you cant see the banner advert when peeled back - but click on it and it navigates you correcty.
Cheers

It looks to me that the banner image is pulled from another site. I think that's why pagepeel not displaying the image. it's a little bit different with standart Joomla banner module, pagepeel need a banner image that is in your local folder.
Is it possible for you to copy that external image to your local /image/banner/ folder?

Hi - thanks for the reply. Yes you are right the banner was a custom code banner which had the linking code from an affiliate / commission based adverting system.
I changed the advert for a static image from my website under images/banners/ as suggested. I also changed the linking website to ensure the right one is being pulled up.
Still no luck. The new advert shows at the bottom right of the display as well in a Banner module. (don't know why this is showing a leading dot though - cant see it in the source code or CSS)
I have IE9 here at work and its not showing in there either
