latest news+ thumnails do not scale proportionally in responsive layouts

When I watch the module thumbnails (which I set 516 px wide) on a mobile device, they show up streched. The height doesn't seem to scale proportionally. the "preserve aspect" doesn't seem to work here. Is there something that one can do about it?

what I can do to inspect right now is just by resizing my browser and the images are work fine at my end. But at some point, I see what you mean but I think that is caused by the template which is not so responsive at that point. Images from Latest News module is just following the template module wrapper.

I am sorry - would you mind checking again? I had switched off the latest news module in the meantime and replaced it by the templates own module. I would prefer the lates news module though because it would be easier to style for my purpose. Now the latest news is on again.Thank you!

I have re-install the module with a fixed one....can you check it now?
