Adding custom.css would depends on your template how they call their template css files. So when you place custom.css in template css folder then it needs to be called somewhere. So you better ask your template provider for that.

Hi Erwinschro,
Its a template I have generated in Artisteer and that I use in Joomla 3.0. As Joomla 3.0 allows to make changes in the custom.css through I assumed it would work well.
As you mention, it is not a miniFP issue, but thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Well I would suggest you to check template index.php whether is there a line you can add to call custom.css file in there.
