thank you for mini front page, I think it will work fine, but is there a way to display a thumbnail in the intro text also is there a way to hide the link to the full article and just show the read more text that you have as "full story"

again i don't get it....then how you gonna link that readmore text if we hide the link?

I would say yes there's always a way...but please we can't just provide a customized form per each user requirement. our resource also has a limit.

you can see the print screen above. I cannot seem to get a thumbnail to appear anywhere except the full article. am I missing something?

Can you explain us how do you manage to insert article images there?
are they Uploaded through Images and Link tab or you insert them inside text editor?
how about their image file name, is there any a space(s)?
are they hosted on your own server inside ROOT/images/ folder?
