Carousel Banner and expired banners
- Posted by jrthor2 (19) Offline
If i set a banner to expire at a particular date/time, it seems that carousel banner is still showing that banner in the rotation. It appears that even if the finished date is passed, the Joomla banner component still has the banner in a published state, so I'm wondering if that is the reason carousel banner still shows the banner. If so, can carousel banner also look at the start/finish publishing dates as well?
Thanks

Joomla 3.2, but I think it is working correctly. For some reason, if I set the banner's finish time to 9 hours before I want it to expire, then it seems to work. So, for example, I had to set the finish time to 2:30am for it to not show up at 11:30 am. Not sure why this is the case. I think I have to do the same thing with articles. Any idea why I seem to have a 9 hour time difference? I am in EST timezone, but our hosting server is in Denver, Colorado. I have the Joomla server timezone set to Denver.
Thanks!!

Any idea or suggestion on how I can fix the 9 hour time difference so that I can put in the time I want it to expire that matches the time where I am, which is in EST??
Thanks

If your website is hosted on a shared webhosting, the webhost won't allow you to change the timezone. But if you have an access to WHM , you can adjust it from Server Configuration -> Server Time
