MiniFrontPage adds content to links
- Posted by Dennis Simonsen (6) Offline
At my site the right column is the MiniFrontPage part where the News is published. If I click on a link there the extra "/component/content/article/" is added to the link of the article and it screws up the presentation of the article.
On the other hand if I click on a slide-picture in the main column nothing happens with the presentation of that article and evenmore, if I now click on the article in the MiniFrontPage column the extra "/component/content/article/" is not added and the article ís presented just fine.
Any suggestions?

Hi, Please try to create a new category blog type menu for this category : rojteatern.nu/component/content/category/8-nyheter
Once it's created, links for all items under that category will automatically be fixed

Hi,
I'm not that experienced with joomla (yet) so could you explain in a bit more detail what you want me to do? A hidden menu, or what? And then? Article > Category> Blogtype? or News > Category? You see, I need guidence

Hi dsimonse,
Yes It's the native behaviour of Joomla where an item view is tied to a menu item.
Have you create it already? I visited your website and it looks working good now

Sorry, but no it doesn't. I haven't done anything. It behaves different depending on what menuitem I clicked on before, i.e if i click on "Boka biljetter" and the on a link at the right I get the error as well if I select an item in "Press" and then click on a link to right I also get the error. But for other, as "Arkivet" and a link there and then select a link on the right I don't get the error.

I did a try, and to my knowledge I ceated a hidden - blogtype menu with the "8-nyheter" (even tried just "nyheter") as alias.
The result was that now everything gets "/component/content/article/" added to the url when i click on a link to the right, whatever main-menu position I start from. So I believe I'm doing something wrong ...
I unpublished my attempt ...
