Related Items Extended - Thumbnail
- Posted by Madelon Tijdink (4) Offline
Hi there,
Recently I purchased the Related Items Extended-module and I'm really happy and satisfied with it. There's just one thing I'm struggling with.
I've set the module to show thumbnails of the related articles. The thing is it uses the photo in the introtext of the articles. I'd rather use another picture (which is shown in the article itself, not in the introtext) for the thumbnail.
This is because I haven't added photos in the introtexts of my articles. My webmaster fixed a HTML-code for the first photo of the article (it adds a yellow 'title' in the picture) which I use as the thumbnail on my homepage. Therefore I don't use and don't want to use the photos in introtexts.
My website is www.lacuizine.nl - where you can see what I mean by the yellow title in the photos.
cstemp.lacuizine.nl is the website I use for trying things - I've installed the module here. As you can see I already tried a few things with the photo in the introtext to fix my problem, but without success.
I hope my problem is clear. To sum it up: is there any way for the Related Items-module to use another picture from the article?
Thanks a lot!

Hi laCuizine,
Strange, because when there is no image exist in intro message, the module will find other image in the full text message.
Can you point me directly to the page where the module installed?

Hi!
This is one of the pages where I've installed it: cstemp.lacuizine.nl/index.php/in-de-keuk...n-met-gaabs-de-basis
The weird thing is right now, at 'Amerikaan in Amsterdam' the picture does work, even though I have deleted the photo in introtext at that article. The settings are the same as the other articles but the photo doesn't work there and it does work at 'Amerikaan in Amsterdam'.
This is the link to that article: cstemp.lacuizine.nl/index.php/buiten-de-...erikaan-in-amsterdam

Hi,
Everyttime you add/change image on the content you should delete all files existed under this folder : [root]/images/relateditemsxtd so the module can generate new thumbnails

Yesss, it worked! Thanks very much for your advice.
Check the results @ www.lacuizine.nl :-)
Just one more thing (but not a big thing): The module is showing 6 related articles now, in 2 rows of 3. It's just that in between the 2 rows is a lot of white space; can I somehow make that space smaller?
