I have this same problem, it works fine until I login (Super Admin) and I'm using Joomla 2.5.18 with Community Builder. I'm not finding the mentioned lines above to edit. Are they different for 2.5?

Worked for me even with Joomla 2.5.18 !!!

The line to be comment in the articles.php file are from line 402 to 409 !!!

Now the module doesn't disappear when users logged in!
Thanks very much!

But this code-hacking will not create problem in future???
If we update Joomla core this bug will represent again???

Yes, it is safe to do that hack because the new joomla update will replace that file with a relatively similar code fix

Changing from relative to off, worked for me as well (broken w/ reach errors after Joomla update). Thanks!
