Menu2Panel IE 8

Hi,
on IE 8 and below, there's always this Error: "Expected identifier, string or number" with reference to the jquery.dlmenu.js
On all other browsers, no probs as expected. But IE8 is - unfortunately - still a fact. What can help?

Kind regards
Martin

Hi marscom,
Can you tell me your website url? This looks like because of poor modern browser technology (html5/css3) support by IE8.
Btw, do your visitors use IE8 in majority? Big companies such as google and facebook has dropped their support for IE8 (google even has dropped its support for IE9)

Hi,
thanks for your care. Actually, as I mentioned above, the IE8 is still a fact and in heavy use. Even though here in Switzerland we have the highest percentage in Apple products worldwide ;-)
Then: some sites that are currently using Menu2Panel and creating the mentioned problem:
www.garage-schumacher.ch, www.poledancefitness.it (not as smudgy as it seems on the first look; it's really just fitness stuff)
some three more are currently in production. They - of course - all show the same error, which is really embarassing. Beside, this extension is really great.

Hi marscom,
Unfortunately re-checked it again I have to say that it's indeed doesn't support IE8 (just like we mentioned in the description page of menu2panel / www.templateplazza.com/products/code/joo...cument/25-menu2panel) due to poor css3 support of IE8 and it's not easy to add a fix for that.
How about to add a IE8 blocker to your website and give a link tho the theie8countdown.com/ ?

Well, thanks anyway. I'll try it by myself.
