the images that I have for the Nivo-slider, I would like the user to be able to click on them so they can read the article

Hi, did you choose "Custom" type when create new banner? If so, please make sure you choose "image" type and entering the url in the CLick URL field.

this site is an old joomla 1.6 template - we bought it not knowing it would be outdated, so I don't have those options.
