Latest News + intro text formating

Hi,

I saw that Latest News +intro text formating is like from article. Is there possibility to format it different? When I try to formatting different it wont work. Any idea?

Current text is in itallic and some kinde of red color. I'd like just to be normal, and maybe in #444 color.
