Hello,
I've tried some things, at first using a different module but that didn't work. Then I tried using a 'real' domainname by changing this in the DIrect Admin (I have a testdomainname "tommaat.nl") but that also didnt work.
Sorry, but I can't get it to work.

Can you try to switch the template temporaily for that page and re-try it? I'd like to see whether it's something related to template or something else.

I have set the template to protostar then it gives a more clear error message :and found that indeed there's a change in Joomla 3.5.1 mail API that causes some incompatibilities with some extensions (see forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=708&p=3394059 ) and looks like there is no really solution right now.
But anyway can you try to do these things, and let me know the result?
1. make a new joomla default form (using com_contact) and then try, will emails sent properly?
2. Go to Extensions->Manage->Database then click the Fix button, then try to send emails again?
3. Go to System-> Clear Cache and try send emails again?
I'll also make some tests on my end.
