hmm try to delete this line :
echo "<div class='clrfix'></div>";

Removing that line of code and the css call fixed this. Thank you for your help.

I also made the following change in style.css for a.mfp-readon:

changed text-align: right to float:right;
removed margin-left

Works 100%.
