I don't think this is the way to go because as you can see the height changes but the width is struggling to keep in the ratio.
Isn't there something in the css that can be set to "auto" in order to resize the width in relation to the height because only the height can be set in the settings and only in pixels and not in %.

Have a look at the slider at the header of the page.
Those are wide pictures but if resized to smaller, the ratio of the picture is kept in place.
This is where the banner goes wrong.

Just compare the pictures attached and focus on the egg in the banner. The banner is out of proportion but the image in the slider adjusts perfectly.

Hi sorry for delay in responding.

This is where the banner goes wrong.

It's because both of them using different approaches.
One is using background (it's working good on screen resizing, but some portion of image will be hide on the small devices) and the other one using image (all parts images are displayed but sometimes it doesn't resize well with full width template).
I will look into the codebase to see if there is anything I can fix and will update you soon
