Minifrontpage Free Joomla 4 Thumbnail created bigger than specified and original

This is upsizing makes all my thumbnails look blurry which is the opposite of what you are trying to achieve. Surely there should be something that stops upsizing thumbnails?

In your case it because the original image is smaller than the generated ones. Minifrontpage uses standard joomla API to process image (JImage) and generating bigger image using JImage will generate blurry image.

Delete the /thumbnails/mod_minifrontpage folder tree.

Why you would like to delete this folder? It's created automatically when you install minifrontpage. To solve it simply recreate it, or reinstall the module

I did it to wipe the cache and I am sure I wont be the last. Reinstalling is total overkill to recreate a folder.

I would have thought that naming the folder something that Joomla actually allows, would have been on the right side of Good Joomla Practice and totally avoids the problem. And stopping the thumbnailer bloating the supplied image is also sensible.

But, have it your way. I shall use something else or write something.

Thanks for replying.

Why you would like to hunt caches under 'images' folder? If you want to save some spaces simply delete all items/images under the folder, not deleting the folder structure. Or if you want to delete the folder to make your work easier, simply delete the folder then re-create it.

Please re-read my posts. That is EXACTLY what I did! and that caused the Joomla Error.

This is fruitless. I was trying to be helpful and you just see it as some attack. Goodbye and good luck.
