Minifrontpage (free): Thumbnails are not resized

Hi,
I use the carousel theme, and when a Thumbnail is created (at images\thumbnails\mod_minifrontpage) it has the original dimensions size of the article's image. Not the dimensions that I have entered in Thumbnail Settings. This is causing problems because the size of the image is bigger and not aproprely served.
(I have deleted all thumbnails from the directory and deleted all caches from Joomla and browser)
Is this a bug or do I have to buy the Pro version to make thumbnails work right?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I just visited your website and found out that the thumbnails are quite good. Please check out this screencast:  Am I missing something?

Can you please delete the dropbox file? I really don't want to have my websites info in public. Thanks.

If you open one of the thumbnails in a new window, you will see what I mean.
Instead of creating a thumbnail of the size that I have entered in Thumbnail Settings (550px X 300px) it is creating bigger sized Thumbnails.
For example:

Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.

The plugin is creating even bigger thumbnail than the original image.
