No thumbnail images displayed

Strange, the module thinks that the thumbnails are generated, but the physical file is not there.

Can you try to reinstall the module?

Is it possible to put custom thumbnails in the folder for each article?

No, the thumbnails are generated automatically. But you might be able to work around it by uploading an image to the Intro Image when creating an article, without displaying it in the article itself.
