Responsive Banner Slider not working properly

  • Posted by Heyndrickx Gunther (9) Offline
Hello,

I would like to use the sequence slider type on our site but it doesn't display any banners, only the background colour. The nivo slider doesn't show at all, the only option working is the adaptor slider.

I've created a seperate "test" menu to display the responsive banner slider, so the rest of the site can still work with the default banner module: www.dkbw.be/info/test

Can you help me please?

Joomla version: 3.3.3
Template: mx_joofree9 pro version

Hi dkwb, I think it because of jQuery multiple load. Please try remove the jQuery call from your template because joomla 3.x has already call it by default. Please see this www.dropbox.com/s/sw9pxmyudg6znmu/jqueryissue.mp4?dl=0

Hi, thanks for your reply. The jQuery multiple load is indeed causing the problem. I have backed up and removed the jquery.min.js file from the js folder of the template. This makes the banner work but unfortunately it stops the header slideshow on the homepage from working (sliding) cause it seems to depend on this file. Or is there another way to remove the jQuery call from the template? I'm not really at home in this matter... ;)

Another question about the sequence slider... Is it possible to disable the text from the banner as it largely covers the image? Also, can the link be attached to the image itself instead of this text?

Update: Please ignore the italic part, I can reach the same effect by using the nivo slider with fade and manually adjusting the image height in Photoshop. :)

Only problem left now is letting the header slideshow and the banner slider work together...

Hmm I think the slides.min.jquery.js your template have is the old version that might be not compatible with the latest jquery lib loaded by joomla. Can you try to replace the file www.dkbw.be/templates/mx_joofree9/js/slides.min.jquery.js your with the latest one available at its website (slidesjs.com)

Hi, just tried it but no change. Version was 1.1.9, I've downloaded both SlidesJS-3 as SlidesJS-1 from the archive. Took the file from the 'source' folder and uploaded it, the file from JS-1 is v1.2.0 (currently on site). In JS-3 it's called jquery.slides.min.js, v3.0.4, tried renaming it but to no avail.

Hmm, can you see what jquery version is used on previously removed www.dkbw.be/templates/mx_joofree9/js/jquery.min.js ?
