fatal error in Minik2

I have the same fatal erroFatal error:

Class 'K2Model' not found in /home/xxx/public_html/modules/mod_minik2/helper.php on line 262

I have J 2.5+, am running the latest K2 and the K2 system plugin is installed.

Any suggestions?

Could you help us here by publishing mod_k2_content on that page first then unpublish Mini K2, is the error shows up in there too? because mini k2 is using almost similar helper.php with what mod_k2_content has.

If the same error also shown up in mod_k2_content then we can assure that the problem is come from the K2 component which then we should ask this issue on their support forum (getk2.org is down as I write this).

thanks for the fast reply.
Heres what we did as suggested:

A fresh K2 item was made and published successfully.
The Mini \K2 mod was then unpublished.

Result: the fresh K2 item displayed fine. When the K2 Mini was republished, the identical fatal error was returned.
The rest of the site works fine, only the test item on its own page fails.

No I didn't meant to create a new fresh K2 item but to publish the installed mod_k2_content in the same page where you publish Mini K2 then unpublish Mini K2 from there and see if the error also shows up.
