In Admin Tools control panel, in .htaccess Maker under Exceptions from Server Protection I added plugins/editors-xtd/xtypo/name.html and saved
Anyway, in backend clicking XTypo button I get " This box should have red background and yellow text"

Yes, it was one of my test attempts while debugging the issue. Anyway, I will make some code improvements based on what I found while trying to find a solution to your problem. After that, I will republish Xtypo. I will let you know when everything is ready; it won't take long.
